Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at On Target Executive Search. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our clients and candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Reporting and Data Management
    • Ensure accurate and timely HR transactions in our Catholic schools and the Department of Catholic Schools.
    • Track and analyze key metrics to monitor stakeholder satisfaction and improve HR service delivery.
    • Produce reports and analysis for leadership regarding human resources trends and metrics.
  • Benefits and Leave Administration
    • Assist employees with leave of absence processes, laws, and organization policies.
    • Distribute key benefits information within our Catholic schools and the Department of Catholic Schools.
  • Policy, Planning, and Process Improvement
    • Develop, plan, and implement human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Collaborate with our central offices to implement new business processes within our Catholic schools.
  • Employee Relations
    • Provide guidance on employee relations issues, performance management, and progressive discipline.
    • Train on investigations, progressive discipline, PIPs, and conflict resolution.
  • Recruitment and Placement
    • Provide training and guidance on recruitment best practices, policies, and employment law.
    • Consult with Catholic school principals on the recruitment, selection, and hiring process.
  • Classification and Compensation
    • Consult with the Department of Catholic Schools and HR on writing and developing job descriptions.
    • Provide consultation on salary administration and recommend salary actions.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
    • 3 years or greater of professional-level human resources experience in a similar scope and complexity to our Catholic schools' network.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Strong working knowledge of HRIS data analysis and providing relevant metrics.
    • Sound business judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of
    • Large district school governance and administration.
    • Utilization of social media recruitment tools.
  • Skill in
    • Public speaking.
    • Developing training materials and conducting training via e-learning or in person.
  • Ability to
    • Interact with all levels of personnel.
    • Work within a team environment.
    • Maintain confidentiality.
