Position: Human Resources Coordinator

Reports to: Executive Director

Status: Exempt

Role Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing all aspects of human resources functions and acts as a strategic partner to the leadership team. This position is essential in fostering a culture that prioritizes excellence, continuous improvement, and high performance within the organization. The Coordinator will develop and execute HR strategies that align with the organization's overarching vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the recruitment process by sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
  • Conduct thorough reference checks for potential hires.
  • Prepare and negotiate offer letters, ensuring competitive salary research.
  • Oversee employee benefits enrollment, including health, dental, vision insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process, including benefits plan review and staff coordination.
  • Manage onboarding processes for new employees, independent contractors, and interns.
  • Conduct off-boarding processes for departing employees and contractors.
  • Deliver initial orientation on policies, procedures, and organizational protocols.
  • Assist management in creating job descriptions and professional development plans.
  • Provide timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Take an active role in planning and executing staff meetings and retreats.
  • Implement initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture and enhance employee morale.
  • Assist in conflict resolution as needed.
  • Oversee disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain the Employee Handbook to ensure compliance with current laws and alignment with organizational values.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws at both state and federal levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in human resource management is preferred.
