Job Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Deliver comprehensive human resources services to client organizations, including:

  • Formulate labor law compliant policies and procedures.
  • Create and distribute essential documents: onboarding, benefits, and termination packages.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees and manage the new hire/termination procedures.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to clients in evaluating and advising on employee terminations, disciplinary actions, and workforce reductions to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations and consistent application of policies.
  • Oversee benefits administration, including eligibility tracking, enrollments, cancellations, billing audits, and resolution of issues between carriers and employees, as well as manage the open enrollment process.
  • Assist clients with various HR functions such as employment verifications, background checks, staffing management, leave administration, workers' compensation claims, and unemployment claims.
  • Handle certain aspects of payroll administration.

Collaborate with client organizations to provide human resources consulting services:

  • Utilize strategic thinking, collaboration, and consultation to identify needs and deliver tailored services.
  • Stay informed about human resources practices, laws, current or upcoming legislation, and industry trends.
  • Build strong partnerships across internal and external client groups to enhance communication and effectiveness.
  • Conduct workforce needs assessments.
  • Engage in workforce performance management as necessary.
  • Promote best practices in human resources.
  • Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SUCCESS ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum of 2 years as an HR Generalist or 3 years as an HR Specialist.
  • Candidate must currently possess, be in the process of obtaining, or intend to pursue PHR or SPHR Certification (Company will support certification efforts).
  • Proficient computer skills; including Word, Excel, and Database Management.
  • All candidates should demonstrate leadership and relationship management experience with a proven track record of:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and standard technology.
  • Proven expertise in the administration of employee benefits and compensation programs.
