Job Title: Patient Account Telephone Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Account Telephone Representative to join our team at The Center for Orthopedic and Research Excellence. As a key member of our Central Business Office, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our revenue cycle processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to patient inquiries and resolve billing and payment issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with clinics, co-workers, and other departments to ensure effective communication and resolution of patient accounts.
  • Analyze accounts for proper claims processing and payment posting through inquiries from patients or staff.
  • Explain insurance terms to assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle.
  • Advanced computer knowledge, including Windows-based programs.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and collection policies and procedures, ICD, and CPT coding.
