Patient Access Center Representative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused CSR II Patient Access Center Representative to join our team at UF Health. As a key member of our Patient Access Center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and community healthcare providers while handling high-volume incoming phone calls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and community healthcare providers
- Maintain up-to-date reference materials
- Act as a subject matter expert in systems and administrative protocols of primary care, specialty, and ancillary service lines
- Assist with disseminating and ensuring understanding of updated information regarding triage protocols and patient access center
- Provide guidance and mentoring to new and existing team members in the patient access center
- Perform all Patient Access Center CSR duties
Requirements:
- Critical thinking, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and quality of work
- Basic computer literacy and arithmetic skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments to work independently as well as a collaborative team member
- Operate multi-line automatic call distribution compatible telephone
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data entry experience
- Experience working in a healthcare-related industry
- Third-party payor and computer experience for inputting data and reviewing patient demographic material
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
