Job Summary

Serve as a working operations lead for staff, acting as a resource for information regarding ADT system, Medicaid, self-pay accounts, and Insurance benefits. Liaise between Patient Access representatives, Supervisors, and Directors, and serve as a subject matter expert with patient access processes in the ADT system and other systems utilized by Patient Access personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee shift-to-shift responsibilities of registration staff, prepare department schedule, accept sick calls as needed, and modify schedule accordingly.
  • Serve as a resource for employees in regards to all pertinent software applications, cover areas in the Admitting Department to assure throughput by completing necessary tasks.
  • Complete reports as assigned, assist with training of department employees, collaborate with Market trainers to assure ongoing training within the department.
  • Perform registrations to stay current on system requirements and ease of use, stay current with knowledge for HIPAA, Federal regulations, state regulations, hospital policy, and reimbursement criteria.
  • Attend departmental meetings to enhance communications within departments, attend payer in-services and departmental meetings to enhance communications and public relation skills.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years registration/financial counseling/patient account collections or equivalent with an emphasis on customer service required.
