SUMMARY:
The Registration Clerk is responsible for documenting, maintaining, and providing information regarding student records, attendance, and enrollment. This role involves greeting incoming parents, students, and staff, as well as managing phone inquiries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Monitor attendance calls for excused student absences and enter data into the computer system.
2. Verify identification and record information for students being checked out of school.
3. Provide information and assistance to students and parents concerning registration and attendance matters.
4. Perform general clerical duties, including answering phones and responding to inquiries.
5. Check returned mail for correct addresses and generate attendance and registration reports for relevant parties.
6. Initiate processes for new enrollments and withdrawals, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
7. Update student information regarding changes to contact details and emergency contacts.
8. Process forms for students on medical leave and share information with appropriate departments.
9. Assist in maintaining student master files and schedules.
10. File necessary documents for student cumulative records and manage updated information.
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in typing and data entry with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain precise records, including tasks requiring computation.
- Competence in operating a computer and relevant software.
- Skill in drafting professional reports and correspondence.
- Capability to understand and apply relevant rules and procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive learning and working environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
