Position Overview

The Director of Financial Reporting is integral to the SGWS IT Leadership pathway, overseeing, guiding, mentoring, and nurturing technology teams across various ETP divisions, including the Office of the CIO, business solutions, enterprise architecture, and infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities


• Lead and direct technical teams to ensure effective delivery of IT services.

• Establish a clear vision and leadership strategy for the team, balancing immediate tactical actions with long-term objectives.

• Spearhead strategic technological planning to align with business goals, prioritizing initiatives that enhance enterprise architecture while managing current and future technology deployments.

• Offer growth opportunities and coaching to team members to drive performance.

• Develop business case justifications and conduct cost/benefit analyses for technology investments.

• Collaborate with relevant departments and external vendors to create and maintain a technology roadmap that meets organizational needs.

• Oversee the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

• Analyze complex business requirements and propose technical solutions to the Executive Team.

• Ensure adequate IT support for remote users and subsidiaries.

• Provide technical assistance in managing building and equipment maintenance services essential for operations.

• Define and communicate corporate policies and standards for hardware and software acquisition, implementation, and operation.

• Work collaboratively in a dynamic environment to ensure the design and delivery of high-quality solutions that comply with industry standards for architecture, security, and privacy.

• Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, anticipating new business processes and system changes.

• Manage and prioritize the workload of team members, assisting with prioritization as necessary.

• Ensure continuous delivery of technical services through oversight of service level agreements and monitoring system performance.

• Coordinate the analysis, design, and implementation of computer-based information systems to fulfill user requirements.

• Conduct performance evaluations and make recommendations for hiring new personnel or consultants.

Essential Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields (Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related disciplines).

• Over 10 years of experience in technology management, customer relationship management, and team leadership.

• Previous supervisory experience is required.

• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

• Proficient in multiple technologies with a strong aptitude for learning new solutions and applying them to business challenges.

• Proven track record in planning, organizing, implementing, and developing applications or infrastructure.

• Experience in managing support for application, systems, or infrastructure environments.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective performance feedback skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Focus on achieving business results and enhancing client service.

• Strategic thinker who can adapt plans in response to changing circumstances.

• Ability to view organizational success from a long-term perspective.

• Capable of functioning in multiple roles simultaneously, demonstrating key attributes for advancement.

• Experience leading teams in an Agile delivery environment.

Physical Requirements


• Prolonged periods of sitting and typing on a computer are required.

• Occasional physical activities may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.

• May require occasional lifting, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20 lbs.
