About the Role

Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Reporting and Strategy to join our IT Leadership team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our financial reporting and strategy teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership, direction, and performance management to technical teams to ensure the delivery of IT services.
  2. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies.
  3. Technical Expertise: Provide technical support and guidance to teams, ensuring the effective application of technological solutions to business problems.
  4. Team Development: Develop and coach team members to enhance their skills and performance, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  5. Business Case Development: Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to develop and maintain a technology plan that supports organizational needs.
  7. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Direct the development and execution of a disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  8. Technical Support: Provide technical support in addressing building and equipment maintenance services, along with other services necessary for buildings and business operations.
  9. Procedure Development: Define and communicate corporate procedures, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating hardware and software.
  10. Research and Development: Conduct research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable in regard to industry trends and emerging technologies.
  11. Workload Management: Direct and prioritize the workload of subordinate personnel and assist with workload prioritization as needed.
  12. Service Level Agreements: Ensure continuous delivery of technical services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of systems, programs, and equipment performance.
  13. System Analysis and Design: Conduct and coordinate analysis, design, and implementation of computer-based information systems to meet user requirements.
  14. Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations and make recommendations for new hires, consultants, and/or replacement personnel.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  2. Experience: 10+ years of related experience in technology management, customer relationship management, and staff management.
  3. Supervisory Experience: Prior supervisory experience.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  5. Technical Skills: Ability to work with multiple technologies, aptitude for new technologies, and ability to effectively apply technological solutions to business problems.
  6. Leadership Skills: Proven experience in planning, organization, implementation, and development of applications or infrastructure.
  7. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to provide strong leadership and timely/effective performance feedback.
  8. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  9. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.
  10. Confidentiality: Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  11. Business Acumen: Measures personal success through impact on business results and client service.
  12. Strategic Thinking: Able to stand back from immediate problems to focus on more far-reaching ideas.
  13. Agility: Native ability to function in multiple roles simultaneously, and demonstrates key attributes for working at the next level of seniority.
  14. Team Leadership: Ability to lead a team environment with Agile delivery values.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine for a considerable amount of time. Occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping may be required. May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.
