Position Overview

The West Coast Consultant Sales role is designed to enhance the visibility of various Man products within the institutional investment consulting sector. This position emphasizes relationship management with investment consulting firms and other financial intermediaries across the US and globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain professional relationships with pivotal investment contacts within the institutional investor community, including pension funds and insurance companies.
  • Manage designated accounts through structured prioritization, research, and proactive outreach, including both cold and warm calls, to uncover strategic and tactical investment needs.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the institutional business development strategy while executing the direct sales approach to meet personal sales objectives.
  • Deliver impactful presentations on the product range to investment officers, pension fund managers, and independent advisors, ensuring clarity and relevance to business goals.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers for final presentations to clients.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Organize and facilitate external events such as seminars for potential clients, while participating in relevant industry gatherings.
  • Keep meticulous records of contact interactions to ensure accurate and current information is available.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support sales initiatives and provide market insights to inform business strategies.
  • Report all activities to senior management in a structured format and within established timelines.

Essential Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in the investment management sector, with 5-8 years focused on sales within the consultant channel.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster communication and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of compliance and regulatory matters, with a commitment to adhere to all necessary procedures.
  • Successful completion of all required qualifications and licenses to perform duties on behalf of the Company.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000-$170,000, complemented by benefits and a discretionary bonus. This range reflects the Company's expectations based on the role's requirements and the applicant's qualifications.
