The role of the West Coast Consultant Sales is pivotal in effectively promoting a range of Man Group's investment offerings within the institutional investment consulting sector. This position emphasizes the importance of managing relationships with investment consulting firms and various financial intermediaries across the US and globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture professional relationships with significant investment stakeholders, including pension funds, insurance companies, and financial institutions.
- Manage designated accounts through a structured approach, which includes prioritizing accounts, conducting research, and engaging in both cold and warm outreach to identify strategic investment opportunities.
- Contribute to the formulation of the institutional business development strategy and assist in executing the direct sales strategy to meet personal sales objectives.
- Deliver impactful presentations on the designated product offerings to investment professionals, ensuring clarity and relevance to support business goals.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers for final presentations to clients.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with both new and existing clients to foster long-term partnerships.
- Organize and execute external events, such as seminars, to engage prospects and participate in industry-related gatherings as per the team’s agenda.
- Keep accurate records of all key contacts and ensure timely documentation of meeting notes.
- Coordinate with internal teams to enhance sales efforts and provide insights on market trends and client needs.
- Report activities and outcomes to senior management in a structured format within established timelines.
Essential Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the investment management sector, with 5-8 years specifically in sales within the consultant channel.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and proactive initiative.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Up-to-date knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
- Successful completion of all necessary qualifications and licenses as mandated by regulatory authorities.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $170,000, complemented by benefits and a discretionary bonus. This range reflects the company's expectations based on the role's requirements and the applicant's qualifications.
