The role of the West Coast Consultant Sales is pivotal in enhancing the visibility of various Man products within the institutional investment consulting sector. This position emphasizes the management of relationships with investment consulting firms and other financial intermediaries across the US and globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain professional relationships with key investment stakeholders, including pension funds, insurance companies, and financial institutions.
  • Strategically manage designated accounts by prioritizing engagements, conducting research, and initiating discussions to identify their investment objectives, while introducing tailored solutions from Man Group.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the institutional business development strategy and execute direct sales initiatives to meet personal sales targets.
  • Deliver impactful presentations on the product range to investment officers, pension fund managers, and independent advisors, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to conduct final presentations.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Organize and execute external events, such as seminars, to engage prospects and participate in relevant industry gatherings.
  • Keep meticulous records of all key contacts and ensure timely documentation of meeting notes.
  • Engage with internal teams to support sales activities and provide insights on market trends.
  • Report all activities to senior management in a structured format and within agreed timelines.

Essential Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in the investment management sector, with 5-8 years focused on sales within the consultant channel.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Robust interpersonal skills to foster relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Successful completion of all necessary qualifications and licenses mandated by regulatory authorities.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000-$170,000, accompanied by benefits and a discretionary bonus. This range reflects the company's assessment of the position's value based on location, requirements, and the candidate's qualifications.
