Position Summary: The Senior Vice President of Operations Management for the West Coast is tasked with leading and overseeing all activities related to S&A's operations in this region. This role encompasses the successful execution of both prime and sub-contracts, expanding S&A's presence on the West Coast, and identifying growth opportunities to enhance service delivery to Government clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster collaboration across the organization to identify needs and develop scalable solutions.
- Establish priorities and implement strategies to achieve company objectives as part of the leadership team.
- Lead the development of the Operations Center pipeline, including capture planning and proposal readiness.
- Manage the transition and establishment of prime contract awards in line with contract specifications.
- Utilize data and research to drive corporate prioritization across business units.
- Leverage knowledge of DoD and DHS markets to inform growth strategies for the Operations Center.
- Ensure the successful execution of contracts, maintaining high-quality task execution while managing costs and risks.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners to achieve shared goals.
- Directly and indirectly manage staff, promoting professional development and personal growth.
- Coordinate strategies and activities within the Operations Center to ensure effective execution of requirements.
- Monitor and analyze operational costs; prepare and manage the Operations Center budget.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on departmental activities for management review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in Government Contracting, overseeing a portfolio of projects or programs.
- At least 10 years of experience in managing, supervising, and mentoring personnel.
- 5 years of experience in pipeline development, capture management, and proposal development.
- Strong understanding of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) markets.
- Demonstrated experience with NAVWAR, NIWC, and CNSP organizations.
Travel Requirement: 20 - 30%
