Senior Consultant for West Coast Sales

Position Overview
The role of the West Coast Consultant Sales is pivotal in enhancing the visibility of various Man products within the institutional investment consulting sector. This position emphasizes the management of relationships with investment consulting firms and other financial intermediaries across the US and globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, nurture, and sustain professional relationships with key investment stakeholders, including pension funds, insurance companies, and financial institutions.
- Implement a structured approach to account management, prioritizing accounts, conducting research, and engaging in outreach through both cold and warm calls. Schedule meetings to discuss strategic and tactical objectives and introduce tailored investment solutions offered by Man Group.
- Contribute to the formulation of the institutional business development strategy and assist in executing the direct sales strategy to meet personal sales targets.
- Deliver impactful presentations on the designated product range to investment officers, pension fund managers, trustees, field consultants, and independent advisors, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to conduct final presentations.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Organize and execute external events such as seminars for prospects and participate in relevant industry gatherings as per the team's agenda.
- Keep accurate records of contact interactions and ensure timely documentation of meeting notes.
- Coordinate with internal contacts to support sales initiatives and provide market insights to enhance business strategy.
- Report all activities to senior management in a structured format and within established timelines.
Essential Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the investment management industry, with 5-8 years focused on sales within the consultant channel.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective communication with key stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Up-to-date knowledge of compliance and regulatory matters.
- Successful completion of all required qualifications and licenses as mandated by regulatory authorities.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000-$170,000, complemented by benefits and a discretionary bonus. This range reflects the company's assessment of the role's requirements and the candidate's qualifications.
