Position Purpose

The role is designed to cultivate journey-level skills through hands-on training in skilled work related to the specific trade assignment. Responsibilities include acquiring skills in the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment pertinent to the trade assignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop journey-level skills by installing, maintaining, operating, and repairing equipment and materials relevant to the trade.
  • Utilize tools and equipment to fulfill the duties of the trade assignment as outlined in the journey-level job description.
  • Conduct periodic tasks as listed in the journey-level job description.
  • Perform job-related duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality expectations.
Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or GED. A minimum of four years of skilled construction and maintenance experience related to the position.

Preferred:

Enrollment in or completion of associate degree-level technical courses in areas such as Power Technology, Electronics Technology, Renewable Energy, or Robotics/Instrumentation.

Driving Requirements

A valid class "C" operator's driver's license is required. The selected candidate must provide a current three-year driving record from their state of residence.

Salary Range

$48,000

Working Conditions

Environmental Demands:

  • Uniforms and/or personal protective equipment provided.
  • Work may occur in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
  • Exposure to chemical fumes and biohazards may occur.
  • Work may involve electrical and mechanical hazards.

Physical Tasks:

  • Repetitive keyboard use at a workstation.
  • Manual dexterity is required.
  • Climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, and moving objects.
Additional Working Conditions
  • Potential for confined space work, elevated tasks, and extended shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Exposure to loud noise and high dust levels may occur.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
