Job Title: Senior Technical Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Support Specialist to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and solutions to our end-users within University Housing and Dining.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving computer operating problems
- Install, monitor, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all hardware, software, and audio-visual equipment
- Operate and test the functionality of all AV and integrated conference rooms
- Perform routine testing and problem diagnosis for projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and displays
- Perform preventative maintenance to resolve problems or identify resolutions to appropriate vendors or manufacturers

Requirements:

- High School graduation or GED
- Three years installing and configuring Microsoft products, including Windows Desktop Operating Systems and Microsoft Office
- Three years of demonstrated experience in IT customer service and/or help desk environment
- Knowledge of directory services and remote access tools
- Knowledge of computer and peripheral operations, installation, and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience managing a Citrix Virtual Desktop Environment
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly
- Experience supporting systems remotely
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and prioritize multiple projects

Salary and Benefits:

- Salary range: $67,000 + depending on qualifications
