Job Title: User Support Specialist II

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing technical support to PC users, assisting with hardware and software issues, and collaborating with the National IT Manager on day-to-day and ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for computer hardware, printers, and telephones, including maintenance and inventory management.
  • Assist users with hardware and software installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and respond to second-level Help Desk requests in a timely manner.
  • Configure and troubleshoot handheld devices, and maintain an online inventory of firm-owned Blackberries.
  • Participate in the physical connection, installation, and general troubleshooting of the telephone system, computer equipment, network devices, and network file servers.
  • Provide AV support for CLEs, management meetings, training, and other communications, including video conference calls, PowerPoint presentations, video recording, and web casting.
  • Test and update systems as required, and verify equipment is properly stored and turned off after use to ensure longevity and security.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Assist on special projects as needed.
  • Communicate with vendors as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Working Conditions:

This position is performed in a typical office environment, subject to time pressures and constraints. Occasional overtime, including weekend work, may be required. The ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time is necessary.
