Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Financial Operations Specialist is accountable for the comprehensive management of the Accounts Payable process, encompassing the receipt and processing of vendor invoices through an ERP platform to the execution of final payments. This role involves scrutinizing employee expense reports to ensure adherence to corporate policies, as well as liaising with various departments to rectify invoice discrepancies and facilitate vendor payments alongside month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and validating vendor invoices, addressing any discrepancies in the alignment of invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
  • Assessing employee expense reports and ensuring compliance with travel policies.
  • Conducting weekly check runs for vendor payments and employee reimbursements.
  • Supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual Accounts Payable closing processes, including the preparation of 1099 forms.
  • Organizing and maintaining documentation, and assisting with inquiries from vendors and employees.
  • Providing assistance to the Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager as needed.
  • Engaging in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience in accounts payable is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Experience with visibility software is advantageous.

Educational Background:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, combined with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
