Job Overview

The Culinary Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in the success of Team USA by leading and guiding the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to kitchen staff including Performance Chefs and Production Specialists.
  • Oversee the preparation of main entrees and ensure the smooth operation of kitchen stations.
  • In the absence of management, take charge of the entire shift, including front-of-house operations and team briefings.

Impact on Operations:

  • Prepare main dishes for various cooking stations, ensuring high standards of quality and freshness.
  • Supervise food production areas to maintain efficiency and consistency in service.
  • Ensure timely setup of serving lines and adherence to menu rotation standards.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Maintain open communication with the Executive Chef and Culinary Manager regarding recipe modifications and production standards.
  • Contribute to menu planning by suggesting recipes that enhance variety and nutritional value.
  • Lead and mentor front-of-house staff, ensuring clear instructions and quality service.

Training and Development:

  • Coach team members on culinary techniques and equipment maintenance.
  • Address performance issues promptly and effectively.

Operational Excellence:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all food production areas.
  • Monitor food waste and assist with inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with proficiency in reading and writing.
  • Continuing education in culinary arts is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a culinary production role with knowledge of nutrition.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity.

Preferred Skills:

  • ServeSafe certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Thorough understanding of sanitation and safety practices.
