Job Title: Patient Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to contribute to our mission-driven team. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience, from registration to billing and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients to the health center and ensure a positive first impression
  • Perform billing and bookkeeping functions, including collection of co-payments and providing receipts
  • Update insurance information and verify patient eligibility
  • Obtain consent for medical treatment and release of medical records
  • Accurately complete computer data entry and maintain a file system
  • Scans all documents and reports any patient complaints to the Patient Registration Manager
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in an applicable healthcare setting
  • 1 year health insurance verification experience (desired, not required)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to use Positive Language
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
