We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to contribute to our mission-driven organization. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences and accurate registration and financial data capture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients to the health center and provide exceptional customer service
  • Perform billing and bookkeeping functions, including collection of co-payments, and provide receipts, posting, and balancing daily sheets and day-end reconciliation to ensure accuracy
  • Update insurance information as necessary
  • Verify insurance enrollment, eligibility, benefits, and out-of-pocket responsibility
  • Print lab orders and provide referrals upon patient checkout
  • Schedule return appointments in compliance with current policy
  • Obtain consent for medical treatment and release of medical records
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in an applicable healthcare setting preferred
  • 1 year of health insurance verification experience desired, but not required
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use positive language
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
