We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to contribute to our mission-driven organization. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences and accurate registration and financial data capture.
Key Responsibilities:- Welcome patients to the health center and provide exceptional customer service
- Perform billing and bookkeeping functions, including collection of co-payments, and provide receipts, posting, and balancing daily sheets and day-end reconciliation to ensure accuracy
- Update insurance information as necessary
- Verify insurance enrollment, eligibility, benefits, and out-of-pocket responsibility
- Print lab orders and provide referrals upon patient checkout
- Schedule return appointments in compliance with current policy
- Obtain consent for medical treatment and release of medical records
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in an applicable healthcare setting preferred
- 1 year of health insurance verification experience desired, but not required
