Position Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various areas within the institution. This includes but is not limited to classrooms, laboratories, conference rooms, restrooms, and other designated spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including emptying waste and recycling bins.
- Sanitize restrooms and replenish necessary supplies such as paper products and soap.
- Dust and polish furniture, and maintain cleanliness of chalkboards and event spaces.
- Execute floor maintenance through dry and wet mopping, as well as vacuuming.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, drinking fountains, and windows.
- Address spills and debris using appropriate cleaning equipment.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and navigate stairs.

Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with two years of relevant experience in custodial services.

Work Schedule:
- The position requires availability for evening shifts, with specific requirements for day and irregular shifts.

Additional Information:
- Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) regulations is mandatory.
- Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
