Laboratory Technical Support Specialist

Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of cumulative IT experience, including 2 years in Tier 2/Tier 3 support roles or at least 1 year of experience managing escalations for VIPs (C-suite executives).
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality-oriented roles.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing a range of devices.
- Solid understanding of data storage and management principles.
- Basic knowledge of scripting.
- Experience with ITSM ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Ability to navigate Active Directory and perform troubleshooting tasks.
- Understanding of domain versus local accounts.
- Experience in creating Organizational Units (OUs).
- Familiarity with Group Policies.
Troubleshooting Skills Required
- Proficient in Windows XP-11 OS, particularly with:
- Command prompt operations.
- Local User Management.
- Software Services management.
- Event Log analysis.
- Microsoft Configuration Management tools.
- Powershell scripting.
- Registry Editor functionalities.
- Task Scheduler usage.
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Network+.
- Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies.
- Experience with laboratory systems including Thermofisher, Illumina, 10x, Leica, Hamilton, Bruker, and Mass Spectrometers.
- Strong collaborative history with Researchers, Scientists, Principal Investigators, and Lab Managers.
- Knowledge of EHS/PPE guidelines and experience adhering to them.
