Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse I is responsible for delivering professional nursing care through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation, in line with facility policies and protocols under the guidance of nursing leadership. This role also involves maintaining a safe work environment and performing job responsibilities safely while ensuring clinical and professional competency relevant to the patient population served.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather data relevant to the healthcare consumer's health or situation.
  • Analyze assessment data to identify actual or potential diagnoses and issues.
  • Establish expected outcomes for an individualized care plan.
  • Develop a plan that outlines strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Implement the care plan, coordinate service delivery, and promote health and safety.
  • Delegate care tasks to appropriate healthcare team members as per legal and policy guidelines.
  • Evaluate progress towards achieving goals and outcomes.
  • Practice in alignment with principles of cultural diversity and inclusion.
  • Communicate effectively across all areas of practice.
  • Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other stakeholders in nursing practice.
  • Demonstrate leadership within the professional setting.

Physical Requirements
Work involves walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. The ability to lift and support up to 35 pounds is necessary for handling patients and medical equipment. Proficiency in English communication is required. Candidates must possess intact senses and demonstrate critical thinking abilities. Quick responses to changes in patient conditions are essential.

Education, Experience, and Certifications
Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, with a BSN preferred. Current Basic Life Support certification is required as per policy guidelines. A valid RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of practice is necessary.
