Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse, Resource Team, is responsible for delivering thorough nursing care through proficient assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in line with facility or departmental policies, procedures, and/or protocols under the guidance of the nursing leader.

This role includes ensuring a secure work environment and executing all job responsibilities safely. It is essential to maintain clinical and professional competency relevant to the patient population served.

Availability Requirement: Must be prepared to provide nursing services across all patient care areas of expertise and knowledge at various facilities.

Essential Functions

1. Collects relevant data concerning the healthcare consumer's health or situation.
2. Analyzes assessment data to identify actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
3. Establishes expected outcomes for a plan tailored to the healthcare consumer or situation.
4. Develops a plan that outlines strategies to achieve expected, measurable outcomes.
5. Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment.
6. Delegates care elements to appropriate healthcare personnel in accordance with applicable legal or policy guidelines.
7. Evaluates progress towards achieving goals and outcomes.
8. Practices in a manner that respects cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
9. Communicates effectively across all areas of practice.
10. Collaborates with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in nursing practice.
11. Demonstrates leadership within the professional practice setting and the nursing profession.
12. Pursues knowledge and competence that reflect current nursing practices and promote forward-thinking.
13. Integrates evidence and research findings into practice.
14. Contributes to the enhancement of quality nursing practice.

15. Assesses one's own and others' nursing practices against professional standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.

16. Utilizes appropriate resources to plan, deliver, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and financially responsible.
17. Practices in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.
18. Promotes shared governance or facility decision-making activities, fostering research to positively impact clinical outcomes and advancement.

Physical Requirements
Work involves walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be capable of lifting and supporting the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must communicate effectively in English. Requires intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch, along with finger dexterity. Critical thinking and the ability to concentrate are essential. Must be able to respond swiftly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Physical Abilities Testing is required.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in the specialty area is necessary. Current BLS for Healthcare Provider status as per AHA guidelines is mandatory.

A current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of employment is required. If declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as the primary state of residency, licensure requirements in the home state must be met; for Non-National License Compact states, a current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner is required in the state where the RN practices.

Advancement adheres to the requirements of the Professional Nurse Clinical Advancement Program. Experience, approved certification, and nursing education must align with the criteria outlined in the Professional Nurse Clinical Advancement Program.
