Under direct supervision, the role involves servicing, repairing, and/or installing company products at client locations. This position encompasses various aspects of field support, including system hardware, software, and networking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform servicing of equipment and products at customer sites or service centers, including all contracted preventative maintenance, unscheduled repairs, consumable replacements, installations, and system start-ups.
  • Interpret operation manuals to identify root causes of equipment failures.
  • Document preventative maintenance activities, downtime, issues, and prepare reports for product movement and justifications for on-site services. Proficiency in using customer systems is essential.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • Manage ordering and expedite notifications to customers or management regarding necessary product replacements.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures utilizing service maintenance checklists and protocols.
  • Adhere to training protocols for proper maintenance of parts usage and transactions.
  • Follow safety policies, including completing all required safety training.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety policies.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma or an Associate of Science degree in Electronics, or completion of an accredited basic electronics program, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Preferred: Two (2) to Six (6) years of relevant experience, ideally within the semiconductor sector.
  • Familiarity with mechanical skills and principles of semiconductor and/or vacuum technology.
  • Strong customer relations skills.

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot down to the component level.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective public speaking skills and strong time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and program management capabilities.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Verification of a good driving record is required for offsite customer service.
