We are expanding our workforce and seeking a dedicated Metrology Calibration Technician to work primarily in the field.

Position Summary:
As a Metrology Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for conducting on-site calibrations throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan area as part of our mobile calibration team. This hybrid position also involves in-lab calibration tasks, providing a diverse and engaging work experience. The role is perfect for individuals who thrive on hands-on work with equipment in various settings, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-site calibrations of electrical, mechanical, and electronic instruments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct in-lab calibrations as necessary, demonstrating flexibility to work in different environments.
  • Oversee routine maintenance and repairs on calibration equipment used in both field and lab settings.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and certificates for all services rendered.
  • Develop and refine calibration procedures and protocols, adapting them for field conditions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve calibration discrepancies and improve accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on-site, helping them understand calibration processes and equipment upkeep.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in metrology and calibration technology, as well as relevant industry standards.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in metrology laboratory settings and/or field service roles.
  • Strong preference for candidates with PMEL or TMDE qualifications.
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Metrology, or a related technical field; Bachelor's degree or professional certifications such as ASQ CCT are preferred.
  • Proficient in using calibration equipment and measurement techniques for various instruments.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO IEC 17025 and ISO 9001.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in computer applications for calibration documentation and record-keeping.
