About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Vertiv. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and support to our customers in the Phoenix area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and remedial service on UPS, Power Distribution Units, and Battery system products.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with customers, coworkers, and sales representatives.
  • Provide on-site and phone assistance to customers, and communicate with Technical Support on technical or procedural issues.
  • Implement Field Change Notices and keep current on Safety Bulletins, Safety Field Change Notices, Field Change Notices, and Service Tips.
  • Operate in a safe manner, maintain company vehicle, and adhere to work hours policy guidelines.
Requirements
  • High School or Vocational School Diploma.
  • 2-4 years military experience in a related technical field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • ASEET or AMEET, or progress towards, is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with written technical documentation and ability to follow procedures and product manuals.
  • Ability to summarize and report work-related tasks performed in written and verbal form.
Working Conditions
  • Travel to customer sites is required within the assigned district and sometimes outside of assigned district.
  • Most work is scheduled maintenance, but occasionally will involve unscheduled service.
  • Valid driver's license with no more than (2) speeding violations in the last 3 years and/or no more than (1) major vehicle violations within the last 5 years.
Physical Requirements

While performing duties of the above jobs, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or other components; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell. The associate frequently is required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to consistently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
