Role Summary

The Community Development Banking (CDB) division is looking for a Relationship Manager to join our dedicated team. CDB operates under the Commercial Real Estate Bank (CREB) and focuses on strengthening low- and moderate-income neighborhoods by offering financing solutions, including equity investments, to both for-profit and non-profit developers of affordable multifamily housing.

This role will support the South Community Development Banking team, engaging with affordable housing developers. The selected candidate will be responsible for promoting and coordinating the delivery of community development financing along with associated banking products and services to a diverse portfolio of clients and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financing strategies for affordable housing projects and community revitalization efforts.
  • Act as an advisor to clients, facilitating access to various banking services to meet their financial requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the affordable housing sector, including senior leaders, CDFIs, tax credit investors, and other financial institutions.
  • Conduct thorough financial analyses related to real estate projects and sponsorships.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Commercial Real Estate, Community Development, or LIHTC investing.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate fundamentals, credit assessment, and underwriting processes.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support client engagements.

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
