Position Title: Financial Advisor Assistant
Company: Truist Financial Corporation
Role Overview:
- Support Financial Advisors in managing client relationships, including the preparation of financial strategies, conducting investment analysis, and executing client transactions.
- Handle order placements as instructed by Financial Advisors and designated clients. Address inquiries regarding general market updates, including quotes and news, as well as trading features such as GTC expiration and settlement processes.
- Administer corporate actions requiring licensing, such as tender offers, optional dividends, and the execution of warrants and rights.
- Organize and confirm client meetings, input data into SalesForce, create agendas and summaries for meetings, coordinate marketing events, and perform general administrative duties.
- Optimize the Financial Advisor's schedule to enhance appointment productivity by reducing travel time and anticipating the necessary duration for presentations and question responses.
- Enhance sales potential by reaching out to prospective investment clients based on internal leads. Utilize product and industry insights to identify existing client, account, and product characteristics that indicate sales opportunities.
- Provide operational support to Financial Advisors, ranging from system navigation to document processing.
- Ensure accurate submission of new business paperwork. This includes preparing forms for client presentation, securing necessary signatures, and following up on new account documentation.
- Mitigate risks through proper authentication measures, including verifying incoming and outgoing client communications. Required to perform authentication callbacks for high-risk transactions, such as third-party distributions, profile modifications, and wire transfers.
- Execute and manage specific operational requests as directed by the Financial Advisor and/or client. These may encompass fund distributions, check deposits, account updates, ACAT initiation, and other operational responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the Financial Advisor to ensure timely review and resolution of reports, such as insufficient funds for periodic distributions and unmet RMDs.
- May assist with branch-related needs, such as general maintenance or service requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and relevant training.
- Experience in the securities sector and/or a sales support role.
- Understanding of securities markets and brokerage accounts.
- Possession of FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses. (Candidates with at least Series 7 or Series 66 will be considered and can obtain the additional license during employment)
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with clients of varying experience levels regarding securities transactions and brokerage accounts.
- Strong time management capabilities.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, supervisors, and colleagues.
- Capacity to evaluate, assimilate, and utilize detailed and complex written and verbal technical information.
- Ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office software.
