Position Title: Financial Advisor Assistant

Role Overview:

  • Support Financial Advisors in managing client relationships, including the preparation of financial strategies, conducting investment analysis, and executing client transactions.
  • Handle order placements as directed by Financial Advisors and clients, addressing inquiries related to market information, trading, and order specifics.
  • Administer corporate actions requiring licensing, such as tender offers and optional dividends.
  • Coordinate client meetings, manage data entry in SalesForce, create agendas, and summarize discussions while facilitating marketing initiatives and performing general administrative duties.
  • Optimize the Financial Advisor's schedule to enhance appointment efficiency by reducing travel time and anticipating necessary presentation durations.
  • Identify and leverage sales opportunities by reaching out to potential investment clients based on internal leads, utilizing product knowledge to assess client needs.
  • Provide operational support to Financial Advisors, assisting with system navigation and document management.
  • Ensure accurate submission of new business paperwork, including client forms, signature collection, and follow-up on account documentation.
  • Mitigate risks through proper authentication processes, including verification of client communications and handling high-risk transactions.
  • Execute operational requests as directed by Financial Advisors or clients, including fund distributions and account updates.
  • Collaborate with Financial Advisors to review essential reports, ensuring compliance with financial obligations.
  • May assist with branch operational needs, such as general maintenance requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training.
  • Background in the securities industry or a sales support role.
  • Understanding of securities markets and brokerage operations.
  • Possession of FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses. Candidates with Series 7 or Series 66 will be considered and can obtain additional licenses during employment.
  • Strong telephone communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with clients of varying experience levels.
  • Excellent time management capabilities.
  • Proficient in professional communication with clients, supervisors, and colleagues.
  • Adept at analyzing and utilizing complex technical information.
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage tasks.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Benefits: All regular employees working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, with specific eligibility determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
