Job Title: Senior Project Manager/Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager/Estimator to join our team at Cornerstone Recruiting. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for the management of construction schedules, budgets, quality, safety, and relationships of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage construction schedules, budgets, and quality control processes to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including summary status reports, monthly projections, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage project-related administration, including correspondence, letters, and contract documents.
  • Develop and maintain industry relationships and expand professional networks to generate future sales opportunities.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of job contracts and contract documents.
  • Manage job cost reports, ledgers, and budgets to ensure accurate financial tracking.
  • Oversight of superintendents and participation in delivering training for other PMs and field staff.
  • Manage submittal approvals, RFI's, RFP's, SWA's, EWO's, PCO's, and material procurement.
  • Coordinate delivery of materials and supplies to job sites.
  • Initiate, organize, and attend project meetings with project team members and ensure meeting agendas and minutes are produced and distributed.
  • Attend owner and project meetings to maintain continuous client contact and gauge performance perceptions.
  • Participate in cultivating strong relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Ensure all contract files are set up properly, contract reporting is timely and accurate, and no contract activity goes unbilled.
  • Implement and ensure the project closeout process is done on each job, including an electronic file with all necessary documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date on competition, area growth trends, market studies, and other circumstances that may impact regional operations.
  • Assist with regular owner-architect-contractor meetings to monitor and assess project status and facilitate proper planning.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in supermarket construction.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction and on-site experience in managing new construction and renovation of existing assets required.
  • Detailed knowledge of the construction process, estimating, budgeting, accounting, and procurement to manage a construction project.
  • Computer skills including MS Office and scheduling software such as Project, P6, Plan Grid, Revit, VICO, or equivalent required.
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Current OSHA training a must.
