Position: Senior Analyst - Credit Card Insights

Location: Charlotte, NC

OneMain Financial is seeking a Senior Analyst to enhance our Credit Card Insights team in Charlotte, NC. This role presents a unique opportunity to influence substantial business outcomes through the refinement of our credit card account acquisition strategies. In this capacity, you will deliver analytical insights, spearhead digital initiatives, and set expectations for both business partners and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborating with diverse partners, this individual will employ a range of analytical methodologies to promote responsible growth, utilizing both new and existing data sources to inform approval/decline decisions and enhance post-booking interactions. The position will also encompass strategy validation and ad-hoc analyses, including customer segmentation, competitive assessments, sensitivity evaluations, and modeling.

A successful candidate will broaden their skill set and deepen their understanding of the business and industry, demonstrating the capability to navigate complex processes or projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. They will acquire insights to propose innovative solutions to longstanding challenges, develop actionable insights, and push the conventional limits of the lending sector.
  • Enhance efficiency and effectiveness in a rapidly growing business environment.
  • Leverage data querying tools (SQL, SAS, Python) and analytical software to create, test, and implement new strategies.
  • Under managerial guidance, design, recommend, document, and execute strategies and digital solutions to better serve our customers.
  • Monitor the outcomes of strategies and digital solutions to evaluate their impact.
  • Effectively summarize and present findings and insights to management.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree (Graduate Preferred) in a quantitative field, such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Management, or Computer Science, along with 5+ years of relevant experience is required.
  • Proficient in Excel/MS Office applications is essential.
  • SQL expertise is highly desirable.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to develop a robust analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in the lending or consumer finance sector is preferred.
