About Enterprise Credit
The Enterprise Credit division serves as a comprehensive credit evaluation, oversight, and product management unit, overseeing credit for a diverse clientele across the bank's various sectors, including individuals, businesses, and institutions. To ensure seamless service delivery, the Enterprise Credit team collaborates with numerous partners in Global Risk, Global Operations, Global Banking, and Consumer & Small Business Banking.

Internship Program Details
The Enterprise Credit Summer Analyst Internship spans 10 weeks, offering extensive exposure to our credit evaluation, oversight, business controls, and data management processes. The program focuses on practical training complemented by classroom learning aimed at enhancing technical, analytical, and professional competencies.
Our objective is to provide you with the chance to expand your academic knowledge, particularly in technical skills, industry insights, and familiarity with a corporate setting while advancing your career based on your interests and background. Your training and development are paramount, featuring comprehensive formal training at the program's outset and ongoing support, events, and mentorship throughout.
The Enterprise Credit program encompasses five tracks tailored to support various sectors. These tracks include:
- Consumer Credit
- Global Wealth & Investment Management Credit (Serving our Merrill and Private Bank clients)
- Global Commercial Banking (GCB), Asset-Based Financing, and Commercial Real Estate Credit
- Global Corporate & Investment Banking and Global Markets Credit
- Data Analytics and Business Controls/Process Optimization
This internship opportunity pertains to the Consumer Credit track.
Consumer Credit Focus:
Applicants for this credit segment should possess a solid grasp of accounting principles to assess personal financial statements. The teams dedicated to Consumer client credit are organized by product categories:
- Mortgage Financing - Assisting clients with home purchases or refinancing
- Home Equity Loans - Supporting clients in leveraging their home equity
- Vehicle Financing - Aiding clients in vehicle purchases or refinancing
- Credit Card Services - Providing clients with a variety of credit card options
Within the Consumer Credit sector, we also have teams focused on data analytics, process optimization, and comprehensive product management. These teams support the Consumer Credit division with management routines, data, and process requirements to ensure optimal business performance.
Daily Responsibilities
Throughout the 10-week internship, you will engage in various daily tasks based on the credit portfolio you are assigned to. You will collaborate with a team of credit professionals to assist clients in our Consumer banking sector. Potential responsibilities include:
- Analyzing client financial data, identifying and mitigating potential risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and evaluating collateral to determine creditworthiness
- Participating in loan structuring discussions and completing loan documentation
- Conducting monitoring activities
- Reviewing and assessing collateral to ensure compliance with necessary requirements
- Evaluating completed client requests to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and assessing the adequacy of business controls
- Engaging in the comprehensive data management process to understand the internal use of credit data and its provision to regulatory partners
Qualifications
- Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a graduation timeframe between December 2025 and June 2026
- A minimum GPA of 3.2 is preferred
- A track record of high achievement
- Common fields of study include, but are not limited to:
- Personal/Corporate Finance
- Business Administration
- Accounting
- Information Systems
- Economics
- Other related disciplines
- Candidates should demonstrate a strong intellectual curiosity, a commitment to operational excellence, and a focus on achieving sustainable outcomes.
- Additionally, students should possess robust academic and technical skills in Microsoft Office, along with demonstrated abilities in leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, analytical thinking, verbal and written communication, and professionalism.
