About the Role

Napster is seeking a seasoned business development executive to lead our strategy, partnerships, and B2B business functions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving growth and revenue through strategic partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and managing our relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partnership Development: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new partnerships that drive D2C subscriber and revenue growth for Napster.
  • Business Analysis: Conduct financial analysis of current and prospective deals to ensure they are optimized for profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, mentor, and scale industry-leading business development and partnerships teams.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute business strategies that align with Napster's overall goals and objectives.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate the status of deals to management, internal teams, and the board.
  • Licensing and Distribution: Explore and secure licensing opportunities and partnerships that support our Web3 products and services.
  • Brand Management: Manage our relationships with the Napster Foundation to support the rollout of their Web3 initiatives.
  • Distribution Partnerships: Manage current and establish new distribution partnerships for the Napster service.
Requirements
  • Business Development Experience: Exceptional business development skills and experience sourcing and closing multi-million dollar global deals.
  • Industry Expertise: Strong industry expertise and network within Web3, media, technology, and consumer products and services.
  • Leadership Skills: Solid cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to build consensus among teams.
  • Financial Analysis: Strong financial and analytical skills to help evaluate and optimize deals and partnerships.
  • Contract Negotiation: Excellent contract negotiation skills, ability to manage deals independently.
  • Strategic Thinking: Creative mindset with the ability to help partners expand their own business models leveraging music and Web3.
Professional Qualifications
  • Education: MBA or JD required.
  • Experience: 12+ years of business development and contract negotiation experience.
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience working at a major consumer subscription service or product.
  • Language Skills: Multilingual candidates preferred to be able to manage our global clients and partners.
