Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to identify key areas of growth in both domestic and international markets.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Generate new business opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies that will secure, retain and grow accounts.
  • Lead the negotiation and closing of new business deals.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to set organizational vision and strategy.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment of company goals and visions.
  • Develop and manage the business development budget.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to generate new business leads and stay updated on industry trends.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business development role within the AEC industry, preferably within Commercial and/or Industrial construction.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing growth strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive business development processes.
  • Exceptional negotiation and deal-closing skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and previous experience using a CRM.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and current trends.
  • Strong networking skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
