Job Description

The Business Development Director plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of Behavioral Health System, Inc.'s services. This position oversees the development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives, ensuring the organization's continuum of care is effectively utilized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing plans to achieve desired utilization of the organization's services
  • Participate in the Account Management system, assessing customer needs and making targeted marketing contacts to develop long-term referral relationships
  • Plan and execute events, provide tours, and perform referral source in-services to promote the organization's services
  • Act as a liaison between referral sources and the hospital, seeking out new business development opportunities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; Master's of Business Administration or related field highly preferred
  • Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred
  • Knowledge of the Memphis and Southwest Tennessee behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets, and referral sources
  • Basic supervisory skills, basic fiscal management skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills
