Medical Care Coordinator

At Stamford Health, we're seeking an experienced RN to join our Infusion Center team as a Medical Care Coordinator. This per diem position requires a minimum commitment of two shifts within a 6-week schedule, with shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
About the JobThis role will involve coordinating and delivering patient care using the Nursing Process, adhering to established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines. As a Medical Care Coordinator, you'll provide supervision of non-RN personnel and serve as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned units. You may also be required to act as a preceptor to new staff and/or students as needed.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process
- Supervise non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff
- Act as a preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut
- BSN strongly preferred
- BLS certification required
- Maintain minimum of 6 contact hours annually
- Minimum 3 years acute care nursing experience
- Previous PICC experience preferred
- CRNI or VA-BC certification preferred but not required
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and location.
