About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse looking to work in a dynamic school setting. You will have the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of students and staff, while also developing your skills and expertise as a healthcare professional.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditions
  • Consult with teachers, school administrators, and other school staff regarding student care
  • Administer medication as required by doctor's orders
  • Collaborate with school personnel and parents
  • Provide emergency treatment as needed to staff and students
  • Monitor student immunization records
  • Educate students and staff on health procedures

Requirements:

  • State of Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Previous school nursing/substitute nursing experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Knowledge of school laws and policies
  • BLS/CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Knowledge of state health regulations
