Position: BBQ Kitchen Supervisor - Previous experience is beneficial, but we provide training.
As our BBQ Kitchen Supervisor, your role will be to guarantee that every dish we serve adheres to our exceptional quality standards. You will be responsible for inspecting our meat inventory daily to ensure all products meet our criteria. This position offers a career path with significant growth and advancement opportunities.
The primary duty of the BBQ Kitchen Supervisor is to oversee the BBQ and food preparation processes within the establishment. You will manage the production of all our smoked meats and side dishes, employing effective forecasting, product handling, and cooking methods.
Additionally, the BBQ Kitchen Supervisor is tasked with maintaining our barbecue standards and ensuring the presentation of the food is visually appealing. You will lead and support the team in preparing and smoking the meats, aiming to produce only what is necessary for daily operations while minimizing waste.
Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the company’s menu and operational philosophy.
- Oversee all daily food preparation and smoking activities in the kitchen; lead the kitchen staff in cooking and smoking processes.
- Adhere to the established guidelines for food preparation and kitchen procedures as set by management.
- Follow all designated recipes accurately.
- Be knowledgeable about food quantities required for daily and weekly operations.
- Maintain awareness of all on-hand items and prepare accordingly to ensure proper inventory levels.
- Manage the storage of all food and supplies, ensuring proper rotation and organization in various storage areas.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning and special food offerings.
- Assist in training kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques, company quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Guide the team to ensure food is visually appealing, cooked correctly, served promptly, and presented by friendly staff.
