Role Summary

The Patient Care Advocate plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding patient support by utilizing effective communication skills and a deep understanding of the services offered by Mindful Care. This position collaborates closely with clinical teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address patient inquiries and expectations regarding Mindful Care procedures to guarantee compliance and satisfaction.
  • Manage all forms of communication (emails, faxes, and letters) with patients, pharmacies, referral sources, and healthcare providers to ensure patient needs are met and retention is maximized.
  • Assist clients in acquiring medical records, necessary documentation, prescription renewals, and GeneSight testing.
  • Secure prior authorizations from insurance providers for medications and services.
  • Connect patients with relevant departments based on their inquiries or concerns, and be prepared for Emergency Activation when necessary.
  • Provide referral information to patients upon their discharge from Mindful Care, if applicable.
  • Act as a liaison between Mindful Care's Patient Experience Representatives, Patient Operations, and psychiatric providers.
  • Carry out administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Required: Minimum of 3 years' experience in administrative roles or case management.
  • Preferred: Certification in BLS or CPR/First Aid.
  • Preferred: Experience with TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) procedures.
  • Required: Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Required: Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred (experience may substitute for education).
  • Required: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Required: Reliable transportation and home internet access.

Position Details

  • Type: Regular Full-time, Non-exempt.
  • Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET.
  • Work Environment: Hybrid (2 days in office and 3 days remote).
