As a key member of our admissions team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless transition of patients from referring facilities to our long-term acute care hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the clinical status of patient referrals and evaluate patient needs
- Perform insurance verifications to obtain authorization for approval
- Collaborate with referring and accepting institutions to address the needs of specific patients
- Travel to referring facilities to facilitate admissions and provide excellent customer service
- Experience in facilitating admissions from referring facilities/physicians
- Background in critical care, trauma, wound care, or other specialty settings
- Knowledge of Medicare and insurance verification processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
