Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Regional Operations Manager to join our team at KIPP NYC Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our schools, managing student files and data, and providing administrative support to our Regional Leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student File Management: Ensure accurate and complete student files and data in internal and external systems, and manage yearly student file audits.
  • Per Pupil Billing: Compile and analyze billing and compliance data for all 19 schools, including the creation of monthly dashboards for student data and audits.
  • Operations Team Support: Manage aspects of weekly Operations team communications, Ops Resources, and Look Ahead Page, and KIPP:Go – informational hubs for school Ops teams.
  • Project Management: Prepare written materials for Regional Leadership, KIPP NYC Board, regional staff meetings, and network-wide communications, and create, maintain, and update project plans.
  • Financial Support: Work with KIPP NYC Finance team to support Title 1 and McKinney Vento programming.
  • Special Projects: Support the RDO with special projects as needed, and serve as point person for all special projects work.
  • System Management: Manage the Systems Access Document, which outlines all applicable systems that require communication/coordination with the NYC DOE.
  • Process Improvement: Progress monitor the efficiency of daily systems and report barriers directly to the RDO to inform continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree, required with at least 4+ years in school operations or related operations field.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Google systems (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive); experience in Automate the System (ATS), Asana, PowerSchool, Tableau, and Vendor Portal a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to produce high-quality work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
  • Passion for Education: Demonstrated passion for and a commitment to the KIPP NYC mission for high-quality public education and the character traits we value: Zest, grit, self-control, hope, love, social intelligence, gratitude, and a sense of humor.
