Position Overview

The Executive Recruiter will conduct research, develop, and execute effective recruitment and staffing strategies aimed at attracting a diverse pool of qualified talent for the organization.

This role involves collaborating with hiring managers to identify the essential soft skills and technical qualifications for the ideal candidate, employing both passive and active sourcing strategies to identify top talent.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for recruitment and a genuine interest in the company and its competitive landscape.

This position will primarily focus on senior-level and challenging-to-fill roles, reporting directly to the Director of HR and Talent Acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to create detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria, aligning with strategic and financial objectives.
  • Develop targeted research strategies to source passive candidates, ensuring a proactive recruitment approach.
  • Design a recruitment marketing strategy and collaborate with the marketing team to utilize social media platforms for promoting company culture and attracting top talent.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's operations, competitors, and departmental roles.
  • Identify and implement effective recruitment methods and strategies tailored to the role, industry standards, and organizational needs.
  • Assist with job postings and advertising processes.
  • Screen applications and select qualified candidates, ensuring a match in qualifications, cultural fit, and compatibility.
  • Conduct first-round interviews utilizing behavioral techniques while promoting the company and position to candidates.
  • Coordinate interview schedules and prepare interview materials.
  • Possess expertise in specialized industries or job functions.
  • Research and develop recruitment leads.
  • Facilitate background checks and assessments as necessary, providing insights into their relevance and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR staff during the offer process, advising on salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other details.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and company policies.
  • Participate in college job fairs and recruitment events.
  • Travel to job fairs and networking events as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Assist with other job postings and roles as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Genuine enthusiasm for recruitment, strategy, and research.
  • Proven experience in recruitment.
  • In-depth understanding of recruitment processes.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting software.
  • Strong knowledge of candidate selection methods.
  • Experience with candidate sourcing tools and techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of market trends and best practices.
  • Client-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Business acumen and market insight.
  • Effective negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Integrity and confidentiality.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to quickly learn and retain systems and processes.
  • Capability to create and implement sourcing strategies for various roles.
  • Experience in mining online databases.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Project planning and coordination skills.
  • Ability to supervise small teams.
  • High degree of integrity and commitment to treating individuals with respect.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with at least four years of experience managing recruitment processes preferred.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and payroll experience.

Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations:

  • Preferred: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification. SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential is a plus.

Essential Physical Skills:

  • Acceptable eyesight and hearing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer use for extended periods.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
