Position Overview:

As a Senior Accounting Specialist at Taylor Morrison, you will engage in professional accounting activities, which encompass the review, analysis, maintenance, reconciliation, and validation of financial documentation and associated tasks as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
We anticipate that as an Accounting Analyst II, you will:
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including intercompany and bank accounts
  • Assist in the formulation and evaluation of the annual budget and quarterly updates
  • Support the monthly analysis and reporting of financial statements
  • Contribute to biweekly payroll processing, including sales commissions
  • Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist internal and external auditors as required
  • Be open to performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practices
  • Preferred experience in homebuilding/job costing
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Robust analytical skills

Work Environment:
This position is classified as non-exempt under wage-hour law, meaning you will be required to maintain a time record and will be eligible for overtime compensation.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain stationary for up to 50% of the time and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with occasional lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds.
