Role Summary

As a Real Estate Acquisition Specialist, you will be instrumental in the procurement and oversight of real estate assets for our solar initiatives. Your responsibilities will include identifying potential land sites, negotiating agreements, and ensuring adherence to all legal and regulatory standards. This position demands strong analytical, negotiation, and communication capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess potential land parcels for solar energy projects.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to evaluate the feasibility and worth of prospective sites.
  • Engage in face-to-face meetings with landowners within your designated market (with a travel expectation of 50%).
  • Negotiate and finalize land acquisition contracts with landowners.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with all applicable legal and financial regulations.
  • Maintain relationships with landowners, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Track and manage project timelines and milestones effectively.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to facilitate project development and execution.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Assist in crafting project proposals and presentations.
  • Build and sustain relationships with land brokers, surveyors, and national title companies.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Land Acquisition for solar energy projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate and land use regulations.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in analyzing and evaluating real estate opportunities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in real estate or property management.
  • Previous experience in the renewable energy sector.
