Strategic Maintenance Planner

Your Role
As a Non-Routine Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for:
- Gathering and organizing essential documentation (e.g., images, feedback forms, technical drawings, vendor quotes, and relevant communications).
- Engaging with stakeholders to clarify project scope and ensure alignment on planning details.
- Providing backup support to colleagues to maintain continuity in planning processes.
- Facilitating knowledge sharing among team members.
- Monitoring the delivery of long lead items to ensure timely arrival.
- Tracking equipment repairs at external facilities to meet budget and timeline objectives.
- Collaborating with engineers to procure and monitor long lead tube orders.
- Ensuring adherence to best practices within your discipline.
- Ordering materials from suppliers and managing warehouse inventory.
- Coordinating with field teams to establish storage solutions for incoming materials.
- Verifying the availability of external services as scheduled.
- Addressing discrepancies in bills of materials or inventory items.
- Ensuring all technical documentation and procedures are included in project packages.
- Issuing packages to coordinators and reviewing job execution specifics.
- Preparing project closure documentation and filing it appropriately.
- Assessing resource requirements.
- Establishing project logic (e.g., Finish to Start, Start to Start).
- Managing lag time as needed.
- Overseeing procurement of materials and services.
- Providing estimated costs for each project.
- Tracking vendor costs and closing purchase orders upon project completion.
- Reviewing open commitments and coordinating with cost analysts.
- Scheduling all activities and disciplines, including any project scope.
- Supporting the development of Primavera schedules, including coding.
- Loading schedule logic to efficiently execute project scopes and create resource-level schedules.
- Updating schedules and communicating changes to key stakeholders.
- Adjusting purchase orders to align with final account statements.
- Closing purchase orders after invoicing is finalized.
- Providing planning, resources, and material support for developmental work during execution.
- Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Preferred experience of 3 years in field planning, construction coordination, or technical/craft roles (e.g., pipefitting, welding, rigging).
- Experience leading interactive planning sessions for construction and engineering projects is advantageous.
- Proficiency in developing scheduling frameworks and supporting documentation.
- Familiarity with GSAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders in both verbal and written formats.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and foster consensus.
- Capability to analyze details, identify issues, and implement changes.
The salary range for this position is competitive and based on various factors, including experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
