Role Summary:

The primary responsibilities of this role involve identifying and spearheading business expansion opportunities, particularly for the U.S.-based downstream operations, in alignment with the organization's long-term strategic objectives. The focus will be on service lines such as multi-craft construction, turnarounds, mechanical services, soft craft, and tank maintenance, as well as NDT/inspection services. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to recognize and assess opportunities through regular client interactions and market analysis. This position entails maintaining consistent client engagement across all levels of the decision-making hierarchy and developing growth strategies for both existing and prospective clients. The candidate will act as a liaison with internal teams to explore cross-business unit opportunities globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth potential within relevant service lines.
  • Assist the marketing team in creating client-specific annual event strategies, including priority industry networking and conference participation.
  • Support business development and marketing planning to align with the annual budget, ensuring operational goals are met.
  • Manage Salesforce responsibilities, including entering leads and opportunities and providing regular pipeline reports.
  • Research and analyze industry, competitor, and client data.
  • Facilitate the creation of presentations and marketing materials tailored to target customers, emphasizing key value propositions.
  • Collaborate with the proposal and operations teams to develop proposals, qualifications, and other requests specific to targeted clients.
  • Engage with other departments and global networking groups to differentiate Bilfinger and gain strategic insights into new markets or technologies.
  • Assist management with special projects and ad-hoc requests.
  • Contribute to the preparation of management reports.

Qualifications:

  • Strong foundation of customer relationships within the downstream market.
  • 5-7 years of experience, particularly in industrial field services.
  • 1-2 years of experience in contract negotiation, management, and long-term service agreements.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet tight deadlines and objectives.
  • Willingness to travel frequently by air and/or vehicle, often for consecutive days.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with construction and maintenance services in the offshore oil and gas sector; knowledge of alternative energy markets is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM and IIR market intelligence platforms for client outreach and business planning.
  • Experience in developing business proposals.
  • Understanding of various contract and commercial proposal structures.
  • Proven negotiation skills with clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related industrial field; or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with colleagues at all levels, including executive management.
