Position Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Planner II to become an integral part of our Project Controls Team. The successful candidate will possess relevant experience in equipment, piping, structural steel, and light civil works. Responsibilities will encompass evaluating job scope requests, estimating labor hours across various disciplines, developing comprehensive work plans, and assembling job plan packages. The role may involve planning for Maintenance, Turnarounds, Small Capital Projects, or a combination thereof.


Essential Qualifications
  • A minimum of two (2) years of field planning experience in industrial maintenance, capital projects, and/or outages and turnarounds.
  • Four (4) years of mechanical craft experience on job sites or a BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • NCCER certification, craft journeyman, or foreman experience in industrial construction, maintenance, or turnarounds is advantageous.
  • Strong expertise in piping and/or structural work scope planning is required.
  • Proficiency in estimating material and labor quantities from industrial construction drawings across multiple craft disciplines.
  • Competence in Google Workspace is essential.
  • Experience with planning software applications is preferred, with familiarity in Turner Applications such as WinTake, QuickPlan, and Win PCS being beneficial.
  • Knowledge of SAP is mandatory.

Functional Responsibilities

Responsibilities include reviewing specifications and drawings to ascertain the scope of work and necessary estimate components. Prepare estimates by performing a complete takeoff of the work scope, materials, external services, and subcontractors. Incorporate historical data into various resources and man-hours estimates, and account for extras, change orders, and discovery work items. Maintain organized files of working documents and backup estimate figures.


Compensation and Benefits

Compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications and experience.
