Position Summary

As a Mechanical Machinery Engineer located at our facility, you will be responsible for overseeing, diagnosing, and enhancing various types of rotating machinery. Your role will involve collaborating with multiple technical teams to address challenges and implement improvements while prioritizing safety and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations to accurately identify and resolve the root causes of equipment failures.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and environmental regulations.
  • Utilize data analysis methods to devise engineering solutions for recurring issues related to turbomachinery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to share best practices and identify operational enhancements.
  • Provide technical expertise during the design and installation phases of new machinery and modifications to existing systems.
  • Develop specifications and commissioning plans for machinery projects, including evaluating equipment suppliers and maintenance service providers.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies that could enhance reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to foster continuous improvement.
  • Support production and maintenance teams with technical guidance on machinery-related issues.
  • Contribute to long-term capital planning and turnaround strategies for machinery.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering along with a minimum of six years of direct experience with rotating equipment, such as pumps and compressors. Relevant experience in the refining, petrochemical, or power generation sectors is preferred.
